In this position you will be required to take the lead in managing Oracle Database and system administration support, Enterprise patch management and configuration management for the e-Business Suite environment(s) and platforms. This role also includes working with outsourced vendors to manage the demand funnel for each of these activities, provide scheduling services based on IT processes and develop roadmap of activities in the assigned areas of responsibilities for the ERP platforms. With the established outsourced environment, you will have an opportunity to take your service management experience to a new level of managing the complex network of relationships and accountabilities to help the organization deploy strategies and improve performance to meet Client’s Business/ IT goals and objectives. You will be a key player in the growing IT Enterprise Solutions and Support Organization within the organization.

The Successful person for this job must have strong technology skills in Oracle Database and system administration along with strong facilitation skills, Project Management and coordination capabilities to work in a global organization. The individual must possess ability to network and interface with multiple vendor and internal stakeholder groups, to internalize requirements established by Enterprise organizations interpreting and applying processes and requirements to deliver value to IT stakeholders. The person should also have the ability to analyze and present data to provide the gauges, levers and handles to move organization in the right direction.

Here is what you will be measured on:
• Plan and Devising best practices in following areas
– Establishing effective Database and system administration processes for ERP environment(s)
– Meet all compliance requirements for the user access management
– Effective escalation management
• Working with internal and external partners to coordinate and manage above said activities.
• Quality and timely completion of the activities assigned

Qualifications
—————–
•Bachelors’ degree or equivalent with minimum of 10 years relevant experience with Oracle DB certifications highly preferred.
•Experience in managing large Oracle Database environments including supporting multiple Oracle application instances at a single client
•Extensive experience in managing Oracle databases that run E-business Suite applications is required. Experience in the following database and application versions required (9.x.x.x, 10.x/ 10g/11g R/R2 and E-business 11.5.X and R12). Exposure to Databases migration and upgrades, with experience in installation of Oracle Applications (R12.x.x) on AIX, UNIX, Linux, Windows Platforms including configuring Oracle, Oracle Applications Server, Oracle webdb2.1, Apache on UNIX/AIX and NT platforms required.
•Experience in refreshing Databases, application of quarterly CPU and functional patches for oracle applications; able to perform extensive impact assessment of patches
•Experience in managing system administration activities in one of the ERP platforms.
•Thorough experience & working knowledge with Oracle Database and Oracle Applications primarily on UNIX or AIX Environments
•Extensive experience in performance optimization and tuning, with strong knowledge from an Oracle Application perspective.
•Added advantage and preference for experience / exposure in Backup and Recovery, RAC and BPEL Support Experience
•Experience in devising and deploying best practices for enterprise application platforms in system administration and configuration management areas.
•Good understanding of Project or Service Management concepts. (PMP or ITIL certification is desirable)
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks.
•Must have a strong troubleshooting background, great communication skills, achievement oriented with technical capability and proven ability to learn/adapt quickly.
Oracle DBA Experience is a MUST
