Detailed Job Description
Designs and develops new IT technical This is a Senior level BI Technical Architect position in the Business Intelligence team of Our clients IT Corporate Information Solution Organization. This role is responsible for technical planning, design for performance and scalability, establishing a flexible IT framework for optimizing the implementations, establish or provide guidance on establishing Performance Analysis, Patterns & Trending and also be in a position to perform capacity planning and publish capacity management approaches to project teams based on business driven requirements.

The chosen individual will drive all architectural strategies for BI efforts and ensure these strategies are being applied to solutions built. This position is accountable to the Technology & Solution Managers and the Program Managers depending on assigned projects. He/she is expected to have deep knowledge of OLTP and OLAP Data sources, reporting and visualization tools and technologies to support key business intelligence and analytics needs of businesses. He / She must also possess expert level skills in Data Warehousing and BI architecture such as the ETL process, multi-dimensional modeling, and designing having strong Database skills.

o Ownership and strong contributions in architecting, designing and planning business intelligence solutions, configuring BI services, aggregating data from multiple sources into a data warehouse.
o Guiding technology teams in creating and deploying reports, enhancements, analytics dashboards and providing solutions catering to variety of business needs.
o Effectively applying architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability.
o Focus on platform assessment POC’s; instance planning, performance monitoring, keeping track of organic growth and make recommendation on Hardware needs.
o Identifying the technologies to employ based on price, performance, service agreements and organization constraints.
o Effectively play the role of a consultant to technology teams and business level managers
o Establishing best practices for BI & Analytics Solutions and ensures they are being effectively applied for all projects.
o Performing architectural reviews of all BI & Analytics solutions for assigned projects.
o Effectively prioritizes responsibilities and manages internal staff and/or external consultants on a variety of engagements in conjunction with the company’s principles.
o Attends external events and bring external perspective to apply to BI and analytics environment as necessary.

Requires:
o Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent
o Typically 10 to 12+ years relevant experience for entry to this level. Post-graduate and/or certification /license may be required.
o A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with relational and multidimensional database design & implementations, enterprise reporting, data warehouses and analytics implementations.
o Development of high impact and/ or long-range strategic solutions and/or initiatives, including development of broad architectural strategies
o Implementation experience in one or more of Business Intelligence (BI), OBIEE, OBIA, Exalytics, Exadata / Exalogic, Oracle Database Appliance, business problem analysis is required. Having Exadata/Exalogic implementation is a plus.
o Leading or delivering projects bringing OLTP and OLAP data to end users through reporting/dashboards using Hyperion and visualization tools.
o Experience in multiple hardware and software environments (Operating systems, databases, mobile technologies) and be comfortable in heterogeneous systems.
o Expert knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence design principles having working experience in BI tools such as Hyperion reporting tools, MDM, Essbase, OBIEE+, Spotfire etc.
o
o Possess strong business acumen and consistently demonstrates forward thinking.
o Achieves and maintains relevant technical competencies and helps to foster an environment of continued growth and learning among colleagues on existing and emerging technologies within BI and analytics platforms.
o Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and able to routinely work with little or no supervision.
o Must be able to effectively and efficiently handle multiple and shifting priorities.
o Must remain calm while working in a high pressure environment with many short deadlines.
o Working knowledge of technical infrastructure, protocols and networks
o Working experience on corporate function applications such as HR, Sabrix, fusion, global trade platforms is a plus.
