Director of Clinical Research, M.D.
Responsible for providing clinical leadership for the development of drugs for the treatment of infectious diseases (ID) primarily MDR related bacterial infections. A key aspect of the Director is to inform the preclinical activities to be conducted by the Discovery group for the Scientific Platforms in order to build up the rationale necessary to support an optimal Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and proof of concept studies.
The Director contributes also to defining and pursuing ID strategy by defining areas of unmet medical needs and evaluating internal and external potential candidates. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary clinical sub-team in planning, execution and reporting of clinical programs. The candidate will have full awareness of the regulatory requirements and new regulatory trend. The Director will lead the compilation clinical sections of CTA’s/IND’s, NDA’s and Investigator brochures.
The position requires understanding of complex scientific issues, analytical thinking, meticulous communication, and proactive problem-solving skills. In particular, innovative thinking for the optimal translational research from discovery to early clinical development, collaborating with the Discovery group.
